Time to Play Again with my Images!

Hello All,
Business has slowed so I can spend some quality time on my images. These were shot between 2005 & 2008 and were waiting for me to spend time on. This is the results of my past two weeks.

Winter scenes were made between Waukesha Cnty & Mequon and the outboards were done Labor Day weekend 2008 in Hayward.

My Sister and Brother in law have an amazing home on Long Lake and Michael has several ''fishing'' related collections like lures & outboard motors. What do you think?

I'm really pleased with the results of the outboards. They're a small group of images just begging to be played with. I keep testing different filters and borders. I'm going to continue converting and stretching the black & whites. They seem to lend themselves to the beaten up and retired condition.

To my fellow Lumaniers,
I wish you all a healthy, peaceful, smooth and successful NEW YEAR!

Lunar Solstice

I am so happy that not only Santa has his little helpers...Merry Christmas, Frohe Weihnachten and - as the Germans say - a Safe Slide into the New Year 2009!

Nomads

I photographed the children in costumes today at North Point Beach. I had a simple look with a futuristic feel to it in mind. The wind generated the needed drama and the even light was great. Costumewise, taft fabric and facepaint did the trick. Happy Halloween!

Interview on Lake Effect - WUWM radio

Hey all,

Bonnie North of Lake Effect interviewed me about my new book. You can hear it on their website. Click on the link at scroll down to "hidden waterways."

The image above is not in the book. It's my newest image from the urban wilderness. Although the water in this lagoon, which is along the Menomonee River Parkway in Wauwatosa, looks toxic, it's not. The city was conducting a test of the sewers to discover leakages that might lead to overflows. They use the bright green dye to find where it's coming from. The dye is harmless.

www.jeffweberphoto.com - New Look

I just finished uploading the new design for my website. The new design is much simpler than the original and uses flash galleries created in Pixtivity.

Take a peek when you get a chance. I'd love to get your feedback.

Resurrection (tentative title)

I thought I'd share my newest image, shot and created yesterday. It's unusual for me to shoot and compose a triptych in one day, but I managed. I even dragged a heavy old ladder out into the swamp to shoot this baby from above. Out of my comfort zone, as Larry keeps exhorting us to do. It's a shot I've previsualized for years, never having found quite the right tree for it. Came across it yesterday morning in the rain; went back with the ladder when the rain stopped for awhile; composed it last night. It's about death and regeneration, hence the tentative title. Feedback is welcome. (I just previewed it and it looks better bigger.)
